The holidays were fast approaching, making a lot of students excited and non-challant about school activities. Students had already begun to display a list of activities to be done during the holidays. A group of friends in my class came up with an idea: to have a class party at one of the renowned hotels in the town, to celebrate a well spent academic session.

Students in my class were excited and contributed heartily in order to make the celebration a success. I talked with my friends about the event and they pleaded with me to attend. Finally, I decided to attend. I discussed with my parents who, after much persuasion, agreed to let me go. I contributed like others and made preparations for the event.

The 22nd of August was the D-day and we all gathered at our meeting point to be driven to the event ground. Other schools were invited for the event of the day. The hall was beautifully decorated; food and drinks were made available. I smiled and said to myself: “I would have lost a lot if I had missed this beautiful event”. But not too long after, students from my school and one of the invited schools had an argument which led to a fight. The other school students were armed with dangerous weapons and a lot of people were injured brutally. We managed to escape from the horror, I and my friends.

After a few days, some of my friends suggested that another party take place at the same hall but without inviting any other school. Then, I remembered. I reminded them about the trouble we faced at the other event. It was really terrible. That is why I will never go there again.
