Kogbodi International Schools,

Post Office Box 204,

Ughelli,

26th January, 2018.

Dear Victory,

It has been a long time since I saw you, How are you and your family? Hope you all are fine. If so, glory be to God. My purpose for writing this letter is to inform you about the forth coming inter-house sports of my school and I would like you to come and grace the occasion with us.

As I told you the other time, I am in a new school and I have been placed in Yellow House. Other houses are Green House, Red House, Blue House and Pink House but I am OK with the Yellow House because yellow is my favourite colour. But they told me too that Yellow House usually comes last in inter-house sports. Yet, I am hopeful that this time around, Yellow House will turn a new leaf and beat all the other houses.

There are so many activities that have been slated for the inter-house sport competition. They include 100m, 400m, 800m and 1500m races, long jump, high jump, march-past, sack race, relay race, shot put and so many others. Since I don’t run fast, I prefer to go for march-past and shot-put; they are my favourites during inter-house sports. You know, inter-house sports is both a competition and a fun. At the end, the house that has the highest points in all the sporting activities gets the first position and takes the biggest trophy. Other schools have been invited to compete among themselves. This, no doubt, is another interesting aspect of inter-house sport competitions.

Vicky, I know you do not live in Ughelli but I want you to join us on that day. I am sure you will enjoy yourself. Please, come and cheer me up too. We are also going to see each other for the first time since the new year began. And lest I forget, the date is February 9, 2018 at the Ughelli Township Stadium, Otovwodo, Ughelli.

I hope you will honour this invitation. Please, remember to send my greetings to your parents and your siblings. And do not forget to bring something for me when coming. Expecting you. Bye.

Yours sincere

Favour.
