Our farm
At Kogbodi International School (KIS), we believe in the power of hands-on learning and the importance of fostering a deep connection with nature. Our school farm is not just a plot of land; it's a living classroom where students can roll up their sleeves, dig into the earth, and cultivate both plants and knowledge. From planting seeds to harvesting crops, our school farm provides students with valuable opportunities to learn about agriculture, sustainability, and environmental stewardship. Through experiential learning activities, students gain practical skills in gardening, animal care, and farm management while also developing a deeper appreciation for the natural world. Beyond academic lessons, our school farm serves as a hub for community engagement and service learning initiatives. Students collaborate with local farmers, participate in agricultural projects, and contribute to efforts aimed at addressing food insecurity and promoting sustainable agriculture practices. Whether tending to crops, caring for animals, or exploring the interconnectedness of ecosystems, our school farm offers endless opportunities for discovery, growth, and meaningful connections with the land. Join us at KIS and experience the joy of learning, growing, and thriving in harmony with nature..
Agricultural Science and Environmental Sustainability in KIS
Through hands-on experiences and inquiry-based learning, students in our Agricultural Science program explore key concepts such as soil health, crop cultivation, animal husbandry, and sustainable farming practices. They engage in practical activities on our school farm, gaining firsthand knowledge of agricultural techniques and technologies that promote ecological balance and food security .
In addition to agricultural science, our curriculum emphasizes environmental sustainability as a fundamental principle guiding responsible stewardship of the planet. Students learn about pressing environmental issues such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and resource depletion, and explore innovative solutions to mitigate these challenges.
Through experiential learning projects, field trips, and community partnerships, students at KIS develop a deep appreciation for the natural world and a sense of responsibility to protect and preserve it for future generations. With a focus on holistic education and ethical leadership, we empower students to become agents of positive change in their communities and advocates for environmental sustainability on a global scale.
